Hairstyle and Class
This may be an eduacated guess, but from the very beginning Africans celebrated their beauty. From their broad noses to their full lips. This go for hair also. The Kings and Queens fixed their hair a certain way to show their station in life! From cornrows to the texture of their hair and the design of it showed what class they were. For instance this is also an eduacated guess. A egyptian King would be bald with one lot of hair on the side of his head. A Queen would wear her sometimes in cornrows, wigs or streight. In west Africa they would wear their in the afro, braids and cornrows. The African Kings and Queens wore their natural hair with pride! This was before African Americans adoped the western way of styling their hair and became ashamed of their natural texture of hair!
