King Tutankhamun

King Tutankhamun ruled at age nine and his wife name was Ankhsenpaaten.  He was the son of
Amenhotep and Queen Tiye. King Tutankhamun woshiped the god Amun at Thebes. The young king and queen lived in the capitals of Thebes and Memphis. If you want to know more on the young King and his Queen look in the book The Golden King The World Of Tutankhamun By Zahi Hawass.

Queen Hatshepsut

The Kingdoms of West Africa

Mr. Eco taught us that there were kingdoms of Ghana, Mali, Songhay and Benin. Ghana was called the city of gold.  Mali was famous for the reign of King Mansa Musa. Benin was famous for her kingly wealth. To read more about these kingdoms look in the book Africa,s Glorious Legacy.
